Muscat – International racer Abdullah Al-Rawahi and his Jordanian co-driver Atta Al-Hamoud, won the first place after he completed the last stage of the Oman International Rally, which varied in terrain, in 2:37.30.1 hours, with a difference of 6 minutes and 35.60 seconds from the second-place finisher. This is the second victory for Rawahi in three years.

Pre-event favourite Nasser Saleh al-Attiyah crashed on the opening super special stage, while Rawahi hit the front on the first of a dozen gravel stages and stayed clear of major troubles to guide his Skoda Fabia Evo to victory. The feat meant the Omani became one of only 15 drivers ever to win more than one round of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship.

The last day of the rally was held in 3 stages: Al Muleena in the Wilayat of Bidbid, Al Murairat and Misfah in the Governorate of Muscat. After the conclusion of the race, the winning contestants were honored at the headquarters of the Oman Automobile Association at the Airport Heights.
