MUSCAT- The sixth season of the annual Al-Bashayer Festival for Arab camel races is all set to begin on February 13 at the Al-Bashayer Square for camel racing in the governorate of Interior, and will continue until February 18. The festival will see participants from Oman as well as other countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
In a statement regarding the festival, His Highness, Mr Asad bin Tariq Al Saeed, Deputy Prime Minister for Relations and International Cooperation and the Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan expressed his best wishes for success to all the owners of the camel participating in this festival, adding that they were – and still are – the source of permanence for this sport.
