DUBAI- Dubai Municipality has suspended the 30% tax on alcohol sales for a trial period of one year, i.e. January 1 to December 31. During this time, restaurants, bars, and hotels purchasing alcohol in Dubai will pay 30% less than they have in previous years.

According to reports, the Dubai government has made this decision in order to make the city a more affordable place to visit in 2023 and also to keep the cost of alcohol here in line with that of the other emirates.
