MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police on Tuesday called on motorists to drive carefully as many parts of the country are witnessing heavy rainfall since early morning.
On Tuesday morning, ROP closed traffic under the Al Khuwair bridge and Qurum Bridge due to flash floods.
ROP urged road users to follow weather updates before the start of the journey, reduce road speeds and leave a sufficient safety distance between vehicles. “Drive at a minimum speed not exceeding 60 km / h, as water accumulates between the vehicle’s tires and the road surface,” ROP added.
