MUSCAT – The 51 lucky winners of Bank Muscat’s special prize draws are at present flying to Doha in batches to enjoy matches at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, courtesy of Visa. With each winner being eligible to take a companion along, as many as 102 people will be visiting Qatar over a one-month period and more than 60 people have already enjoyed the opening matches of the mega sports event. Speaking on the eve of their departure to Doha, the winners said that they were super excited to watch the FIFA World Cup™ in person. They thanked Bank Muscat and Visa for giving them a ‘once in a lifetime’ chance to win exciting hospitality packages and enjoy matches in Doha.

Earlier in September, Bank Muscat conducted an exciting live draw to choose the winners of hospitality packages, with each of the 51 winners receiving a Hospitality Package for two to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, courtesy of Visa. The packages include airline tickets, hotel accommodation and tickets for a number of matches during the month-long football carnival and as many as 10 packages (1 Opening Match, 1 Final and 8 Quarter Final matches) were reserved for Bank Muscat Private Banking Visa Infinite and Asalah Priority Banking Visa Signature credit cardholders. Nine packages featuring Quarter Final matches were reserved for Al Jawhar Visa Platinum credit cardholders and the winners also included 8 Visa Prepaid cardholders who won packages to visit Group Stage matches. As many as 24 winners were chosen from holders of Bank Muscat co-branded Visa Platinum credit cards, Visa Gold credit cards and Visa Classic credit cards.

In 2022, Bank Muscat also launched a special limited-edition Visa Prepaid Card to celebrate the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, courtesy of Visa. Bank Muscat’s contactless cards can be used by customers to make secure payments online and at millions of PoS terminals in Oman and around the world as well as for ATM withdrawals. They feature the latest security standards and state-of-the-art technology.
