MUSCAT : The Oman Film and Theater Society revealed the details of the Al Sharqiyah International Film Festival, scheduled to be held in the Wilayat of Sur from January 11 to 14, 2023.
Anwar Al-Ruzaiqi, director of the festival, explained during a press conference held in the Wilayat of Sur talked about the film competitions that will be included in the festival, for which registration is still available until the 19th of this month. These include the Omani and international short narrative film competition and the Omani and international short documentary competition.
During the press conference Dr. Hamid Al-Amiri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Film and Theater Society, stated that the Al Sharqiyah International Film Festival is a continuation of a series of international festivals launched by the Society with the aim of spreading cinematic culture throughout the governorates and encouraging young people to make films.
