MUSCAT: Omani footballer Yousuf Shaaban has died at the age of 38 following a long battle with cancer.
In a statement issued Oman News Agency (ONA) said Yousuf Shaaban Al Busaidi was born in the Wilayat of Barka and was born in 1984. He started his carrier with Dhofar Club from 2003 to 2011, then moved to Al Shabab Club for two years and then returned to the Dhofar Club.
Yousuf Shaaban played 25 games for the national team between 2004 and 2008.
