MUSCAT: First edition of the Sohar Festival, coinciding with the celebrations of 52nd glorious National Day, will run until December 18, 2022.
Announcing details of the Festival at a press conference Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of Al Batinah North, said the month-long event will be held in the Wilayat of Sohar with the participation of all wilayats of the governorate, presenting a diverse national, cultural, artistic, social, economic and sports events.
He pointed out that the main festival activities will be held at the Sohar Entertainment Center, in addition to accompanying activities distributed throughout the governorate. He stressed that the Festival aims to stimulate economic activities in the governorate and create work spaces for entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium enterprises and productive families, with attention to the entertainment aspect of all segments of society.
More than 500 young people and productive families will participate in this festival through various platforms to display the products of productive families, in addition to the events accompanying the festival dedicated to families. is Excellency the Governor of North Al Batinah indicated that the festival will also include heritage villages and live performances of various marine, desert, agricultural and other environments, in addition to sports activities.
