MUSCAT: The Ministry in its announcement said the exemption will be granted, provided that the renewal period does not exceed one year, according to Article 26 of the Maritime Law.
The exemption includes commercial ships, artisanal and coastal fishing vessels, leisure ships and boats, cruise ships and boats, and water bikes, in addition to service ships and boats.
This comes from the keenness of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology to provide the necessary facilities and encourage maritime transport by supporting various maritime activities.
