Muscat – In a statement issued by the Dairy Company to counter the boycott call, it said, “Mazoon Dairy Company would like to express its thanks and appreciation to all members of society for their interest in various aspects of its work, especially with regard to reviewing the prices of some of its products in coordination with the concerned authorities.

“The company also confirms its keenness to receive all views, observations and suggestions that would enhance its path towards growth and excellence, and to express its appreciation for this interaction, the company would like to clarify the context in which this review is conducted. The operations of dairy production companies and their derivatives are generally linked to the abundance and ease of transporting some basic materials that are a key element in the various stages of production, most notably the cow feed that Mazoon Dairy Company purchases locally and from different countries around the world, ensuring high quality standards and covering the growing needs of the company’s operations, in addition to other basic materials within the production and packaging stages.

“The changes around the world during the past period have contributed to affecting international supply chains and the movement of goods and goods between countries, which affected the rise in production input costs and shipping and transportation costs by up to 70%, due to the direct and indirect effects of political and military conflicts, waves of inflation in global prices and economic impacts and logistical procedures for dealing with the spread of the Corona pandemic.

“This forced the dairy and dairy production companies in the region to try to adapt to that rise by reviewing the prices of their products over the past two years to ensure the continuity of their business.

“Mazoon Dairy Company is committed to its professional and ethical work standards towards society in general, as the company continues to take many internal measures to ensure reducing production and operating costs with the option of reviewing prices…the company has formally notified the distributors of the price review procedure. After the approval of the official authorities, according to the mentioned reasons, the company confirms that it continues to provide its products according to the same levels.
