MUSCAT: With over 15 years of experience in the banking arena, Dr. Shamsa brings to the table her wealth of knowledge on the banking and financial sector. She has, in a short span of time, carved her niche in Oman’s business platform with her experience in key roles within the banking sector. She will speak about her personal banking experiences and provide her perspective on the changing banking and economic horizon at the TAS Conclave.
“I am honoured to speak at the second edition of TAS Conclave that will focus on Oman’s economic journey and Vision 2040,” Dr. Shamsa said.
Dr Shamsa began her career at Oman International Bank in 2002, after graduating with distinction from the Sultan Qaboos University. Following that, she served in various capacities at Alliance Housing Bank, National Bank of Oman and National Finance Company. She joined Ominvest as the Vice President of Economics Research in 2019.

As an exemplary student, Dr Shamsa bagged the Ambassadors Award at PhD research level in 2018 and later on the People Choice Award at the University of Reading Annual PhD Conference in 2017. She completed her MBA from the University of Strathclyde Graduate Business School in Scotland.
A good speaker as well, Shamsa has also received the Blue-Ribbon Award for Toastmasters at the NBO Edition in 2010.
