MUSCAT : Oman Customs reported that the Hatta port customs managed to thwart an individual’s attempt to bring in large quantities of cigarettes by hiding them under the vehicle’s fuel tank.
In another related case, a person was arrested for smuggling cigarettes into the country by packing it in boxes of laundry soap, in order to evade paying taxes and permit procedures.
