MUSCAT : The raid was carried out in the Seeb residential area as expatriate bachelors had rented the property for common accommodation purposes and to conduct business in an environment lacking health and specified standards. As per the local order (No. 23/92) on the organisation of buildings in Muscat and its amendments, Article 31 stipulates that ‘It is not allowed to establish complexes or buildings to house workers or bachelors in residential or commercial-residential areas.’
