MUSCAT: The Environment Authority of Oman issued an official statement saying that it had followed up what was circulated on social media platforms about odours in the Al Multaqa area in the Wilayat of Al Amerat.
In an official statement on Thursday late evening, the Environment Authority of Oman said: “The necessary measures were taken after continuous monitoring of the environmental conditions resulting from the operation of these sites, during the continuous field visits carried out by specialists at all times, morning, evening and night.”
The EA confirmed that the environmental studies and reports have been conducted and models analyzed while results are being assessed with measures have been taken in the case.
The EA appreciated the keenness shown by society and cooperation to protect the Omani environment, calling on everyone to communicate and report any environmental violations or encroachment on wildlife through the hotline: 80071999.
