MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Friday dismissed rumours on social media about news that they found the missing mother – Hamida bint Hammoud Al Amri of Izki wilayat – as fake.
The ROP confirmed that the circulating post was related to another previously reported incident and urged everyone to take information and news from its official sources.
Hamida, who is 57 years old, had left her family’s home in Izki on Monday (October 3) and is yet to be found.
The Sultanate’s various authorities have been pressed to find the missing citizen. Last week, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) deployed their dog squad to find her.
