Oman’s CPA confiscates electronic hookah

The Consumer Protection Department in the South Al Batinah Governorate in Barka seized 250 electronic hookahs.

MUSCAT : As part of the efforts made by the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) to combat the spread of prohibited substances that have an impact on the health and safety of individuals and the society, the Consumer Protection Department in South Batinah Governorate conducted field visits to shops and markets in the region and seized a firm, which specialized in the sale of cigarettes and tobacco, for dealing in banned electronic hookahs.


250 electronic hookahs were confiscated and the same would be destroyed after completing the legal procedures.
The Authority called on all commercial establishments to abide by the laws and decisions in force in order to avoid legal actions against them.
