MUSCAT: Hassan Al-Musawi qualified after his victory over Emirati Abdullah Al Hammadi 9-6 in the nine-ball singles competition for junior billiards, while the first team player Mubarak Al-Wahaibi was eliminated from the round of 16 after losing to the Egyptian player Amr Rashid 5-7, in the 6-ball competitions. The combined Arab Championship for Billiards and Snooker precedes the West Asian Championship, which is being held in Bahrain.
In the nine-ball pool competitions, Mubarak Al-Wahaibi lost the opportunity to qualify for the quarter-finals when he lost in the 16th round to the Kuwaiti international player Abdullah Al-Enezi, 5-7, despite the team’s progress at the beginning of the match with a score of 5-2.
