MUSCAT: The Council of Ministers congratulated the Omani women on the occasion of the Omani Women’s Day which falls on October 17.
In a statement issued, the Council of Ministers stressed that the Sultanate of Oman’s celebration of this occasion comes as an expression of the care and attention that Omani women have received since the dawn of the blessed Renaissance.
“It enabled them to contribute side by side with men to the comprehensive development process that the country is experiencing,” the statement said.

The Council also stressed that the continuous support provided by the state to women over the past decades had a great impact in providing more opportunities and harnessing all possibilities for them.
Omani women have proven their worth in accomplishing the tasks entrusted to them, which qualified them to receive awards for excellence in many fields locally, regionally and internationally. The Council of Ministers expresses its great appreciation to all women for their essential and important role in taking care of the family and caring for its members, and raising their efficiency in order to actively participate in the national work,” the statement added.
