MUSCAT: Muscat Municipality has issued a clarification regarding additional fees for electricity consumption.
In a statement issued, the Municipality said the fees were in force since 2003 and it has not “added or modified” these fees.
“We have observed what is being circulated on social media platforms about the additional fees for consuming the electricity bill. We would like to inform that these fees are the ones previously in force according to the local order 1/2003, and the municipality has not added or modified these fees,” Municipality added.
