MUSCAT: According to the press service of the Verkhovna Rada Office (the unicameral parliament of Ukraine), Oleksandr Kornienko, First Deputy Chairman made this proposal during his meeting with the delegation of the Council of Oman, headed by H.E. Khalid bin Hilal Nasser Al Maawali, Chairman of Oman’s Shura Council, who is participating in the 145th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and related meetings and the 210th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Board of Directors, in Kigali, Rwanda, from 11 to 15 October.
He also called for the establishment of Omani-Ukrainian Parliamentary Friendship Groups, the establishment of which would be an important first step to strengthening cooperation between the legislative bodies of Ukraine and the Sultanate of Oman.
