MUSCAT : Salma Al Hashmi was bestowed the ‘Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy’ at a formal ceremony. The decoration was presented by H.E. Federica Favi, Italian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman.
In a tweet on its official account, the Italian Embassy said the honor was a result of the tireless work of Salma Al Hashmi in strengthening social, cultural, sports and commercial ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Italy. The embassy stated that this medal is a recognition by the President of the Italian Republic, of those who contribute significantly to bilateral relations. H.E. congratulated Salma, wishing her to continue her work in the Omani-Italian Friendship Association.
