MUSCAT: An Indian national living in Oman was announced as the latest “1 KG Gold” winner in the Muscat Duty Free raffle draw held recently.
Rajesh Mohanan Pillai, an expat living in Buraimi for the last 16 years, has been declared the winner with ticket number 2130, which he purchased when he flew through Muscat International Airport.
A regular participant in Muscat Duty Free’s promotion Rajesh couldn’t believe his luck, “I’ve been trying my luck for a few years now and delighted to have finally won,” he said to The Arabian Stories.

Rajesh who hails from a little-known town in Kottarakara in Kerala, urged passengers to try their luck. Abdulatif won 500gm gold, while Mohammed Shahbaz Sagar won 250gm gold.
The raffle draws have helped build awareness of the Muscat Duty Free retail offer with travellers before and during their trips.
