MUSCAT: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, expressed his hope that the forthcoming visit of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to the Sultanate of Oman, starting tomorrow (Tuesday) will contribute to commercial exchange, investment and cooperation in different fields.
In a statement to Oman News Agency, Al Yousef said that Oman-Jordan relations are accorded special attention by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Abdullah. These relations, he explained, are undergoing constant growth in all areas.
The minister added that Oman-Jordan Joint Committee is discussing mechanisms for upgrading cooperation in economic, commercial and investment fields to meet the aspirations of their peoples.

Al Yousef pointed out that the volume of commercial exchange between Oman and Jordan grew by 33.8% to OMR 61.855 million in 2021, compared to OMR 46.236 million in 2020.
In Oman, the number of Jordanian business reached a total of 621 firms operating in the sectors of trade, services, industry and constructions.
