MUSCAT: Engineer Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shamakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Transport, said that about 50% of the expansion project of the Rusayl–Bidbid road has been completed, and the Ministry seeks to open part of the road next November.
The official also added that the re-tendering for Sharqiya Expressway and the Adam-Haima-Thumrait dual-road projects is back on track. It may be recollected that the contractors who were awarded with the tenders of the two projects pulled out. “However, the ministry is confident of speedy completion of the two projects,” the official said on Thursday.
