MUSCAT: The officials of Muscat Municipality’s Food Control Department inspected 51 restaurants and cafes in Muttrah on Thursday morning and closed two stores for violating laws.
Apart from shutting two stores, the inspectors team also found 16 stores for violating laws while issuing show-cause notice to 13 establishments where they found and destroyed 92kg of stale food and confiscated 104 utensils unsuitable for cooking.
Meanwhile in Sohar, the Consumer Protection Authority seized a commercial company that manufactures large quantities of perfumes, incense and cosmetics with adulterated and expired materials.
