MUSCAT: Stamping visa on expatriates’ passport is no longer mandatory in the Sultanate, according to a new amendment issued by the Royal Oman Police.
According to the amendment to the residence visa rule, only resident card (ID card) is enough for all visa purposes.
“The traditional system of physically stamping visa on passports has been suspended. The two-year resident card will serve as visa as well,” a senior ROP official informed The Arabian Stories.
“Your Oman resident ID card is the most powerful document,” he added.
