MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has expressed his condolences upon the death of Queen Elizabeth on Thursday.
In a message to His Majesty King Charles III, the King of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland and Head of the Commonwealth, condoled the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving monarch.
“The late Queen was a permanent friend of the Sultanate of Oman and contributed to strengthening the close bilateral relations between the two countries,” His Majesty said.

Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral aged 96, after reigning for 70 years.
