MUSCAT: The volume of goods imported through Omani sea ports in the first five months of this year increased to 15.7 million tons, compared to 12.2 million tons in the same period last year, registering an increase of 28.4 percent.
The value of merchandise imports through sea customs ports amounted to OMR 4.1 billion, an increase of 37.4 percent over its level in the same period last year, accounting for 67.6 percent of the total value of merchandise imports.
