MUSCAT : We are pleased to announce that Shashwat Singh, of Class VIII – B, of Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir was felicitated by Stem and Space at Trivandrum on the 16th of August, 2022.
Earlier, in grades 6 and 7, he had enrolled for the National Astronomy Challenge, conducted by Stem and Space, and he secured Global Rank 1 for two consecutive years. For this achievement, the student was felicitated by the entire Stem and Space team at Trivandrum. Apart from the felicitation program, Stem and Space also gave all the winners the chance to visit the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC), which is situated in Trivandrum. At the VSSC they got the opportunity to interact with ISRO scientists, and gain more knowledge regarding various ISRO missions, space crafts and rockets. The students were also taken to the Priyadarshini Planetarium and the Science and Technology Museum. Overall, it was really great experience for the winners.
Shashwat says, “We feel honoured to get this rare opportunity to visit ISRO and gain a lot of experience which will turn out to be very fruitful in the future. But all this would not have been possible without the support of my teachers and parents, who encouraged me to do more and achieve more”.
