MUSCAT: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has assured that the prices of school items are set appropriately and there are no concern regarding its availability in the Oman markets.

In an interview, His Excellency Salim bin Ali Al Hikmani, Chairman of CPA said there is no need to panic on the prices. “We have not witnessed any hike in prices for school items and our team is always vigilant about such matters. All these items are available in their right prices. We can assure the public that school items are available across all the markets,” he said.

As Omani schools are preparing to reopen after the summer break, many shops across the country have put up offers.
