“I want to take a moment to thank my team because they are the ones who built TAS to what it is today. Many of them have worked beyond their shift especially during Covid-19 lockdowns to bring quality content to our audiences. I am very proud of them, and strongly believe in their resilience and ability to weather storms,” Nishad said.
“This award is truly special and is also an honour to our growing popularity. It also gives us the huge responsibility to deliver more qualitative and innovative content to our subscribers,” he added.
In an increasingly competitive digital market, Nishad’s startup has developed a “very distinct voice” in local and regional news coverage. In the last three years, TAS has produced award-winning video shows helmed by Omani celebrities and has also grown in readership with over six million monthly page views.
“Nishad’s sincerity and passion to excel have borne such fruitful results. He kept his dedication firm and did not give up any time in between, in spite of overcoming various challenges. He truly deserves the award,” said a statement from the Asia Awards.
