MUSCAT: Over 300 cartons of vegetables and fruits, unfit for sale and consumption, were destroyed by Muscat Municipality.
The authorities raided a residential building in Seeb which stored vegetables and fruits in unsanitary conditions.
Spoiled produce was placed at the bottom of the boxes and the good ones were displayed on the top, in preparation for selling them on the streets for low prices, thus cheating the customers.
