MUSCAT: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in different areas towards the realisation of a joint vision to achieve sustainable development.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Saud Ahmed Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Steve Phimister, PDO Managing Director.
The agreement stipulates that the ministry taps the experiences of the company in implementing Lean methodology through a set of training courses. It also provides for supporting agricultural initiatives by means of technical knowledge and the creation of joint investment projects to develop the national economy.

The agreement will also help study all aspects of utilisation of water supplies accompanying oil output operations.
