MUSCAT: The Salalah Food Festival will commence from Thursday, August 4 at Hawana Salalah, Muriya flagship destination in the Governorate of Dhofar, and will continue until August 13.
Being the first edition of Salalah Eat Festival and the largest food festival in Oman, the event will be bringing together over 80 food stalls and trucks from local food and beverage providers covering a wide range of small and medium enterprises. Home businesses will also be actively participating in the 10 days of food and live entertainment.
The opening ceremony is sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, Mayor of Dhofar Municipality.

The festival will see the participation of more than 55 Omani chefs and establishments who will display their products. The festival also includes competitions, entertainment events, theatrical performances and various fun games for children.
With this event taking place at Hawana Salalah, visitors from across Oman and the GCC are expected to attend the festival, all thanks to the Khareef season in region. More than 50,000 people are expected to visit the destination to make the best of the much-awaited food festival in Oman.
