MUSCAT: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said it has received a number of reports of people being stranded inside vehicles following heavy rains in parts of Oman on Monday evening.
CDAA said the rescue teams are “working to deal with these reports.”
Meanwhile, Hamoud bin Muhammad Al-Mandhari, Coordinator of the Relief and Shelter Sector at the National Committee for Emergency Management said the authorities have opened a shelter center in the Wilayat of Al-Awabi and two centers in the Wilayat of Rustaq. South Al Batinah is witnessing heavy rains on Monday.
