MUSCAT: The Consumer Protection Department in the South Al Batinah Governorate in Barka recovered an amount of OMR 85,314 in favour of a number of consumers during the first half of 2022.
The recovered amounts were distributed over a number of sectors. A total amount of OMR 25, 685 was recovered from the labour sector, followed by aluminum, jewellery and carpentry workshops sector with OMR 15,624 and OMR 14,034 were recovered from contracting and building materials sector, followed by the car showrooms sector with a total OMR 11,900, while OMR 10,300 were recovered in the electrical and electronic appliances sector, and OMR 2,233 in the furniture and furnishings sector.
