MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology inaugurated the dual-road project in the Wilayat of Shinas in the North Al Batinah Governorate on Thursday.
The road starts from the Al Batinah Expressway intersection and extends for a distance of 6.5 km.
The project also includes the construction of two roundabouts and box ferries in 12 sites of different sizes to drain the water flowing from the valleys during rains. The road has been provided with traffic safety means such as ground lines, paints, traffic and guiding regulations, and metal and concrete barriers.

The opening of the road will facilitate and streamline the traffic and serve the areas and residential communities located on either side of the road.
