MUSCAT: The Dhofar University admin issued a clarifying statement denying rumours about the university’s expired academic accreditation.
False rumours about Dhofar University not being included in the unified admission guide for the academic year of 2022-23 were circulating on social media.
The university stated that it is the first private university in the Sultanate of Oman to obtain institutional accreditation from the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) in 2018.

The OAAA is charged both with regulating the quality of higher education in Oman to ensure the maintenance of international standards, and with encouraging higher education institutions (HEIs) to improve their internal quality.
