MUSCAT: CCTV footage allegedly capturing the moment a man stole a car in Oman’s Al Amerat has gone viral. Royal Oman Police on Wednesday said they arrested the culprit.
The video which was also released by ROP showed a man stealing an unattended car that was kept running. “The General Department of Criminal Investigation and Investigation arrested a person on charges of stealing a vehicle while it was in operation in the Wilayat of Al Amerat,” ROP said.

ROP also urged motorists not to leave their vehicles running while shopping or in front of ATMs and other places, and to take the necessary precautions to protect their vehicles from theft.
