MUSCAT: A honey badger was been spotted in the Sultanate of Oman’s Al Wusta Governorate.
A rare appearance of the honey badger in Wilayat Mahout was reported on Wednesday, July 20. The badger was 10 to 30 centimetres long, and weighed between 5 to 15 kilograms.
It was transferred to the wildlife and living creatures reserve in the governorate for further examination to ensure its safety as well as provide the appropriate environment for its protection.

Honey badgers are endemic to dry areas and pastures, and has a presence in the Dhofar Governorate and parts of the central region. It is also found in many African countries and regions of South and West Asia.
