MUSCAT: The search and rescue teams in Dhofar Governorate continue to look for the three missing family members at Al-Mughsayl Beach area.
The authorities have continued their unremitting efforts after an expatriate family comprising of eight people including three children was swept away by strong waves in Al Mughsayl area on Sunday, July 10.

Out of the eight family members, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said they managed to rescue two people and three died in the incident.

The CDAA has also announced temporary closure of all tourist sites in Oman due to the inclement weather conditions. It was only on Monday, July 18 that the Al Mughsayl beach was reopened from 9am.
