MUSCAT: The Indian Rupee to Omani Rial exchange rate increased to a high of INR208.6 on July 14 before edging down to INR207.4 on July 16.
What does this mean for the Indian expats in Oman? Those who want to send money to their relatives and friends in India will now get even more for a single Rial as the exchange rate between the Omani Rial and the Indian Rupee keeps rising.
This development continued a trend of a steadily rising exchange rate during the previous year. The Rial to Rupee exchange rate has been steadily increasing over the long term from at least July 2012.
