MUSCAT: A total of 16 people died, while four are still missing due to the flash floods and extreme weather conditions in the Sultanate over the last many days.
Brigadier General Mohammed bin Nasser Al Kindi, Director General of Operations at the Royal Oman Police said more than 40 people were rescued in the last five days. “16 people have died, while we are still searching for four people,” Al Kindi added.
The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) is still searching for the missing people in Dhofar Governorate. A family of five went missing after they fell from a cliff in Al Mughsayl beach in Salalah.

“We could only find two bodies, while we are still searching for the three people. CDAA is also looking for another person who went missing in Dhofar governorate on Sunday,” he added.
