MUSCAT: The National Search and Rescue team has left from Muscat to Dhofar Governorate to support the search operation for the five missing expat family who were drifted away due to strong waves.
In a statement issued, the Royal Oman Police said more forces will join the Civil Defence and Ambulance rescue team in Dhofar to support the search operation.
An expatriate family comprising of eight people including three children was swept away by strong waves in Al Mughsayl area in Dhofar Governorate on Sunday.

In a statement issued on Sunday, CDAA said they managed to rescue three people, while five are still missing. “They were trying to cross the safety barrier of Al Mughsayl beach in Dhofar Governorate.”
