LONDON: According to British media, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has decided to quit, putting an end to an extraordinary political dilemma regarding his future.
In the wake of ethics scandals, Johnson had been requested to resign, but he had rejected requests from his Cabinet, including recently appointed chancellor Nadhim Zahawi.
After over 50 ministers resigned from the UK government, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, according to media reports, is likely to submit his resignation on Thursday.

The Prime Minister is expected to make a statement to the country today, CNN reported quoting a Downing Street spokesperson.
Earlier, UK Home Secretary Priti Patel and several Conservative Party lawmakers asked Johnson to tender his resignation after dozens of ministers abandoned his government.
