MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman ranked 69th in the world in the World Bank’s GDP index. Oman recorded a GDP of $85.869 billion in 2021, up from $73.97 billion in 2020.
The Sultanate ranked seventh in the Arab world after Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the Emirates, Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait.
The United States of America topped the index, with a gross domestic product of $22.996 trillion, followed by China with $17.7 trillion, followed by Japan with $4.9 trillion, followed by Germany with $4.2 trillion.

The World Bank also indicated that the global gross domestic product amounted to about $96 trillion last year.
The East Asia and Pacific region topped the world’s regions in terms of GDP with a value of $30.8 trillion, followed by Europe and Central Asia with a value of $25 trillion.
