Khazaen Dry Port aids cargo handling efficiency in Oman

In the second half of 2022, the port will see an expansion of refrigerated supply chains, said Executive Director of Khazaen Dry Port.

MUSCAT: The Khazaen Dry Port has been contributing to enhancing the efficiency of cargo handling in Oman.

The port has also aided in reducing the total cost of Omani exports from industrial cities and logistically linking them to global shipping networks.

Engineer Juma bin Ibrahim Al Maskari, Executive Director of Khazaen Dry Port said, “The port has an annual capacity of more than 50,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) and serves more than 80 local and international companies.”

In the second half of this year, the port will see an expansion of refrigerated supply chains to serve the food import and fish exports sector, he added.
