MUSCAT: His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, on Thursday, June 23, received the credentials of newly designated Bangladesh Ambassador to Oman.
His Excellency Nazmul Islam, Ambassador-designate of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Sultanate of Oman. Before serving as an ambassador to Oman, he was the ambassador of Bangladesh to Sweden.
Career diplomat Ambassador Nazmul Islam is a member of the BCS (Foreign Affairs) cadre’s 15th batch. He held numerous positions during his diplomatic career at Bangladesh missions in Jeddah, Beijing, Jakarta, and London.

Nazmul Islam completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). Additionally, he had pursued a number of professional training programmes both domestically and overseas.
