MUSCAT: Students from Mazoon University College in Oman created a device named SCREENESS in which information is available about the amount of electricity consumed in a building.
The screen is located next to the indoor electricity complex and with a help of an indicator on the screen, the amount of consumption if it is low or high is seen through an icon.
When the electricity consumption reaches the maximum limit per day, an alert is sent to the building owner about the high consumption of electricity through an application connected to the screen. The screen also reads the meter accurately and translates it into the Omani riyals.
