MUSCAT: Requests to transfer voter registration from one state to another will be received started from Tuesday, June 21 until August 31. This is in line with the the municipal council elections members for the third term.
The Ministry of Interior has clarified that voters who wish to transfer their registration must submit their applications through the elections website (elections.om) as per their permanent address or the current address recorded in the ID card.
Their ID cards are equipped with the electronic certification system (PKI), noting that no applications will be accepted after the specified date, or submitted by another means.

The ministry has also stated that citizens who wishing to run for membership of municipal councils for the third term for the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah and the Wilayat of Sinaw in the Governorate of North Al Sharqiyah, must transfer their registration to these two states in order to fulfill the provision of Paragraph (g) of Article (10) of the Municipal Councils Law issued by the Royal Decree. No. 126/2020 AD before submitting candidacy applications, which will be announced at a later time.
